Cadaver Inc

To any fan of Norwegian Metal, the name Cadaver will seem strangely familiar....

Life-long Earache devotees will remember the name Cadaver from the early 90’s Necrosis imprint label. Cadaver Inc is the brainchild of original Cadaver guitarist Anders Odden, now going by the handle of Neddo. The original Cadaver issued two of the very first extreme metal albums from the soon-to-be-legendary Norwegian scene: ‘Hallucinating Anxiety’ in 1990 and ‘....In Pains’ in 1992. After Cadaver’s demise, Anders spent most of the 90’s in the highly successful Darkwave act Apoptygma Berzerk. In 2000 he constructed the millennial edition Cadaver Inc as a breeding ground of sickness and depravity, perhaps inspired in part by his recent collaborations with Satyricon (on the recent ‘Rebel Extravaganza’) and Mayhem (on ‘A Grand Declaration Of War’)...

The Cadaver Inc pedigree is undeniable. Joining Neddo in this immoral venture are hyperfast drummer Czral (ex-Dimmu Borgir), vocalist Apollyon (Aura Noir, Dodheimsgard) and LJ Balvaz on bass (trainspotters will remember the pre-Carnage act Hydrhydr....)

Cadaver Inc is yet another in a long line of high quality Norwegian metal acts. Where the original Cadaver paved the way for such Norwegian bands as Emperor, Mayhem, Immortal, Satyricon, Enslaved and Dimmu Borgir in the early 90’s, Cadaver Inc is now more than ready and ably equipped to pick up the challenge laid down by those bands during the intervening years.

‘Discipline’ is a masterpiece of progressive extremity that transcends black metal boundaries yet maintains a savagely raw, live production sound. Ferocious blasts underscore dizzying riffs and incongruous rock melodies in a hyper pastiche of brutality. ‘Discipline’ is the next wave of extreme music, as envisioned by four veterans of the scene.
